CODES - Cooperation for Development of Cross Border Business Environment Strengthened

The foundational project for establishing LACMIS. It provided the initial resources for laboratory equipment, training and capacity building, and development of the laboratory programme.

Field-data analysis and the digital risk-assessment application, with the Department of Health Studies

DIABEYES - cross-border diabetes prevention and early detection

A cross-border project to prevent diabetes and support early detection of the disease and its complications, using mobile teams and a digital risk-assessment tool. The University of Zadar is a partner (lead: Institute of Public Health of Zadar).

EcoMinds - Enhancing Environmental Data Collection through Machine Learning and Database Systems

An Erasmus+ project modernising IT curricula for the green and digital transition. The University of Zadar is a partner and supports environmental data collection, involving Information Technology students in the piloting of the new courses.

LACMIS role
Teaching within the joint Artificial Intelligence 2026 course

UPTECH - Universities & Partnerships for TECH Collaboration for High Impact Solutions

UPTECH brings together universities and other partners across Southern Europe to strengthen skills and innovation capacity in deep technologies, with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning, Big Data, cybersecurity and the Internet of Things.

The University of Zadar is one of the project partners, with the University of Málaga coordinating the consortium. As part of the project’s teaching activities, LACMIS members Željka Tomasović, Marko Šarlija and Ante Panjkota contribute to the Artificial Intelligence 2026 course together with lecturers from other partner institutions.
